A PAGE FROM MY DIARY
The Greatest Gift
It's been whole ten years since I joined Mahabodhi School. When I look back and try to remember those days I could not remember much. Sometimes I try to remember how I looked like, how was my behavior then. I can only imagine myself as a kid with snot running down his nose, wearing untidy uniform. A kid who liked playing, eating and talking more than studies. At that time we tried befriending those who had more sweets to eat and when sweets were finished so did our friendship.
As the days went by, many good things as well as bad things happened, but I can't forget one moment. When I was in U K G my class teacher, Ms Kesang gave me a piece of chocolate. It was just a piece of chocolate but I still remember how affectionately she gave it to me. Indeed it was the affection and that great loving smile she wore when she offered the chocolate to me which made all the difference. I believe it was the greatest gift I ever had. Remembering that day I smile, remembering that day I cry for when shall such moment come again in my life.

Dear diary,
Today I had a very beautiful dream. I just can’t wait to tell it to you. I had become a great cricketer. I was playing my first World Cup. I along with Sachin was the opener of the Indian Team. We were playing against Srilanka. We needed 262 runs to win the match. I and Sachin were doing good partnership. We made 258 runs. But we were left with only two balls and needed four runs. Sachin hit the second last ball and we were able to score only one run. Now I was on the strike. My hands became numb with nervousness. I hit the last ball very hard with greatest hope. Then I suddenly woke up. There was no Sachin! No bat in my hand! No last ball! I wanted to know what happened to the last ball.
